It's a good thing they are cute. It is hard to get upset about their resistance and inability to calm down before bedtime when they are so stinking adorable. It should be an Olympic sport getting these two feed bathed and in their jammies before 9pm. I wonder if Manda and I were like this as children? Well, at least their is never a dull moment in the Kirkland household;)

Fast paced family
They play so hard they pass out. We have been a very busy family lately. It is extremely busy at both my work and Keith's. Which, I suppose is a good problem to have. I have been struggling with time management. I am up at 5:30 and leave my house for work around 6:40am. I don't get home until 6:30 pm and somewhere in there need to find time to exercise and spend time with my kids. I keep reading that sleep is really important to being healthy too...not sure when I am going to get more of that either;) Being a working mom is hard, but I am so blessed to not have to do it alone. Keith is such a great father and I am not sure what life would be like without him. Maybe life will slow down enough so we can make time for each other too. We haven't been out on a date with just the two of us since before Ryan was born. There are just not enough hours in the day;) Well, I am still enjoying every minute of it. Even if it's going 90 miles an hour.

So...it has been awhile
I know I haven't been posting like I should, but I gotta tell you that having two children and 2 full time working parents, the blog just isn't high on the priority list. Sorry, but I just haven't had the time. Just to catch you up, Ryan is now 9 months old and growing like a weed! He is 30 inches tall and 20 lbs which is in the 95% of babies his age. Austin is also growing up fast. He has been doing great in 4K and loves being a big brother. His class is full of girls, which he loves but we are hoping for more boys in his class next year. He is doing great with his letters and numbers, and according to his teachers he would be ready for kindergarten next year. I think we will keep back another year because he will only be 5 for 2 weeks before school starts. After speaking to a lot of people the majority said they wished their parents had done that or their parents did and it was the best move for them. Keith and I both think this is the best move. It's crazy how one little decision like that can completely change his life. Oh the pressure of parenting;) Well, other than that we had a great family trip to the beach in September and are looking forward to Ryan's first Christmas. Hug your loved ones and have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Brother's
Saturday morning Austin wanted to go with me to get Ryan out of his crib. When we got in there Ry was wide awake and ready to play. Austin asked me if he could get in Ry's crib. At first I didn't want him to, but then I thought why not? I ended up having to grab my camera to capture the fun they were having! Enjoy...

Daddy's Little Helper
Keith has started his parents kitchen, hall and bathroom floor renovation. Austin was VERY helpful! He made sure that when we got dressed this weekend that he had on "work" jeans just like daddy and had to take his tool box to help Keith tear up the old floors. He was very serious about it and did not appreciate me saying how cute he was. He responded by "Mama, I am not cute. I am working."

Goof Balls
Sometimes I think I may have the goofiest kids on the planet. People don't believe me, but spend a weekend at Kirkland Manor and you will see. Austin thought it would be funny to run around in Keith's helmet. Let's just say it was a little big on him and he looked like a giant bobble head doll. Then we were sitting on the sofa watching cartoons when Austin started signing a song he just made up. I am not really sure what it was about but he thought it was hilarious. Ryan just pretended like he didn't know him. These two are crazy.

Our trip to NASA
Last weekend we took a family trip to Huntsville. While Daddy and Uncle Matt played golf I decided to take the boys to the Space and Rocket Center. It was amazing! I will have to take them back when they are a little bigger so they can do the helicopter simulator and the rides. Austin had fun walking around the rocket park outside, but his favorite part was the gift shop;)
