Party time!

Sorry it's been awhile since the last post, but it has been busy busy busy at Kirkland Manor! I had a great visit with the beautiful Petty women at our family lake house, and this weekend we had Austin's 4th birthday party. Man, these kids sure do grow up fast! He got so many great things and had a blast. We stuck to a simple and small party at the house. I don't understand why parents try to go overboard with these birthday parties now a days. All you need is cake, presents and great folks and everyone has the same great time as they would if you spent a fortune on decorations and big venues. Anyway, here on some pics that my wonderful sister in-law took since I am horrible at remembering the camera:)

Last weekend Keith had to go to a wedding party at the lake. So, it was just me and the kiddos. We had such a busy day! We played, Austin refused to wear pants, we went to McDonald's and Walmart. Austin got a haircut, then we went home and made popcorn, jumped on the trampoline (which Ryan LOVED by the way). We swam in the pool, found a baby lizard in the house, watched Cars...again and then ended the day with some much needed baths then climbed in my bed and snuggled. Life is good...and now I am pooped:)

Hand Foot and Mouth...boo

We had just tried our first taste of baby food right before Ryan got sick. It seems that he liked it very much! Now I can barely get him to drink his bottles due to the painful sores from the HF&M. I feel so sorry for him and wish I could take the brunt of the pain for him. Poor little fella:(
