The stress's in life

Between work, the economy, the world on fire, the cost of living, "life" insurance, searching for justice just to find peace and to get dinner on the table...all I have to do is look at the simple miracles in this world to remind me that this is all that matters at the end of the day. So, if your having a bad day, week...year just look to the people you love and if you don't love anyone just look at how cute my baby is and see what your missing out on;) When we die no one will care how much we made, what jobs we had or how much we paid for gas. All they will see is our characters and the people we affected. I want to be a positive force in the lives of the ones I love and who ever else is paying attention. I guess that can be my New years resolution...along with loosing my baby fat;) Okay, if that sounds too vain for some of you lets just call it "being healthier". Don't stress out! It's going to be okay. I am ready for 2009. Good riddance 2008! Here's to being better and to loving harder.

He loves to play

This toy was a hand-me-down and Austin LOVES it! The seat spins around and he can choose what he wants to play with(or chew on).
here he is checking himself out in the mirror.
I think he has been thinking about crawling but is way more interested in running.
Here he is being Goofy with Snoopy...hehehe! I crack myself up sometimes;)

He loves eating his food! His new favorite is carrots. here he has just gobbled down some cereal. This week we are going to try peas. Oh goody!

Baby's first Christmas...

I think the sports car walker from Santa was a big hit!
Austin got Daddy some house shoes. They both were very excited about it!
The best gift I've ever received...
Austin really racked up. Although, I think he was more excited about the wrapping paper;)
Libby got a stocking too...
Things to chew on from Mommy for Libby and Austin.
the Hot Rod...

A wink from Santa...
We may have a future Mozart...
Everyone crashed...

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! We love you.

Twas the night before Christmas...

when all through the house Not a creature was stirring...
Not even a Libby Lou!
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care...
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there. We left cookies and milk for Santa, and Mommy and Daddy had a glass of wine;)

Tired baby... Now he's awake!
I am happy to announce that Keith survived!!! Although, he was VERY happy to see me when I got home. He understands that the little guy is a FULL time job and if you think you are going to get anything done around him you are sadly mistaken:) If it was possible for him to appreciate him mom and sister anymore he certainly would. They had a great time and did get 45 minutes of snuggle time. Which is pretty hard to come by these days. Austin is wide open from 8am-8pm everyday. He doesn't want to miss anything! He and Keith must of played pretty hard because he crashed and burned last night.

Stay at home Dad

This week Keith is off and staying home with Austin...and MoJo. So far so good. Or at least he hasn't told me of any issues;) I think he will do just fine. He does get a little stressed out with the baby food thing. He's not big on the messy uncordinated eating. Austin thinks it's funny to spit his food out...Keith not so much. I wish I could be home with them, but they will get some good male bonding.

Squash...

We have started on baby food this month. So far his favorite is squash. He wears most of it but gets a pretty good bit in his mouth. Such a little piggy...

The look

I just love this picture! He has such a personality (don't know how). I was snapping photos of him while he was playing and finally he looked up at me and said, let me translate..."Mom, leave me alone. Can't you see I am busy?" I told him I couldn't help it and I will continue to pester, embarrass and kiss him too much until I die. I swear I have seen his father give me this same look before;) Oh, this mom thing is so much fun! I always thought I didn't want any kids. that I would make a much better aunt than a mom. Although, I do love being an aunt I am glad I get to be a mom too. I think I am a pretty cool aunt (I hope), and love to spend time with my niece and nephew. I may be one of those nerdy moms but I don't care! I won't stop giving him sugars!

Waiting for Christmas

We are so excited for Austin's first Christmas. I can't wait to set our own family traditions and carry on old ones. Keith thought I was crazy when I told him we had to leave out cookies for Santa and a carrot for the reindeer. He asked "how do you know reindeer even like carrots?" Obviously, he has never met a reindeer before, duh! Austin won't remember his first few Christmas's so we will take lots of pictures. I swear this morning he said hello! He says "Hey" all of the time. I wish I could tell what he was saying the rest of the time. He will just chat away at his toys in his own little language. I wonder what he could possibly be talking about? Of course, when he does start using English words I'll probably wish he still spoke jibberish. I can't stand "Mom, Mom, Mom..." or "Why?Why?Why?..." I guess I'd better get over it! I'll try to keep him out of Wal-Mart and the grocery store as much as possible. I think they release some drug in the air in those places that make children act obnoxious;) I know Manda and I drove Mom crazy! I've heard stories about Jen and David. Something to look forward to I suppose. Maybe I will just give that duty to his Dad:)
