By the way...Pumkin' is 9 months old today!

Can you believe it?! It seems like this was just yesterday. Now he's mobile!

New car seat

Austin moved up to the next car seat last night, and though he was very tired, took the adjustment well. He loves being able to see more than the back of a seat now. He is getting so big so fast!

Still not sleeping, but cute as ever...

...and crawling all over! Be ready Kansas! He will try to go after everything he's not supposed to have;)

Worst Allergy season in years

On the news this morning they said we are in the midst of the wort allergy season they've seen in years. We bathed Libby and Austin last night, cleaned out the humidifier, Benadryld, cleaned the nose, Vick's vapor rubbed and used nose drops. Finally slept past mid-night! He woke up around 2am but feel right back to sleep and then again at 4am. We are making progress;) Amazingly enough still no ear infections (knocking on wood right now) We go to the Dr next Thur. for our 9 month check-up and I will ask about allergy medicines. I can't imagine the parents that went through the no-sleeping every night for the entire first year! Keith and I are barely making 2 weeks. Props to you mom's and dad's out there!

Our Long, Long weekend

Austin has been suffering from some nasty allergies (we think). He wakes up at 12 on the dot with a clogged nose. We suck out the snot with the dreaded nose sucker and try to get him to go back to sleep. Sometimes he does...sometimes he doesn't. The three of us have been getting about 4 hours of sleep a night for over a week. We've tried everything. We've been to the doctor, and he hasn't been running any fevers. Any suggestions?Here I am putting in Baby Einstein at 2 am this morning. Very tired and not amused!

9 months old and already online!

Reflections

First off congratulations to Mike and Stephanie who welcomed their son Logan Gregory into the world yesterday, and Happy Birthday Grandma Petty! I swung by the hospital last night to meet Logan and he was so adorable. I held him and missed that baby smell. Maybe in a couple of years I will have another but I am enjoying the age that Austin is right now. He may not smell as sweet anymore but man he is so much fun!!! He is discovering new things everyday and is full of laughter. Those baby gas smiles are cute but the chuckling we now hear melts your heart.

My little water baby He never wants to get out! As soon as I start to drain the tub he makes this face...

But, he gets over it quickly because now it's time to eat!

Feeling much better

We seem to be feeling much better! Back to playing with mommy and daddy, and sleeping through the night.

Not so good weekend

Austin had to go to the doc on Friday. He has really bad allergies and can't sleep because of it. Luckily it is only in his nose and not in his chest or ears. I will say that he screams bloody murder at the sight of the nose sucker! Other than that he is a healthy boy weighing in at almost 19lbs. Sunday he seemed to be breathing much better and slept through the night for the first time in several days. I was not doing nearly as well. I wasn't sick but very agitated. I got stuck in Wal-Mart during the tornado's last night for almost 3 hours. We all had to go to the women's clothing department and wait it out. I was so glad that it was just me and Keith and Austin were safe in the comfort of our home. Where as I was surrounded by Wal-Mart's finest in the swim suit section!
