I have had people request pictures of me. (not sure why; I look like a hot mess!) I have been avoiding the camera like the plague! I would like to loose some of my baby fat first, but since you guys insist here is a pic with me in it. Hope this will hold you all over for awhile;)

Best buds
Libby loves her new brother. At first she was a little jealous but has now turned into a protective older sibling. She comes to check on him and kiss his feet when he's fussy. When he is on the floor with his toys she brings him her toys to play with;) At first I was grossed out by the slobbery bone but Austin doesn't seemed bothered by it.

Mirror, mirror...
Daddy's nightly ritual. He will walk around the house with Austin every night so I can eat dinner. It's their bonding time. Although, this weekend Austin was pretty pooped. We went to Jack's 2nd birthday party. It was at one of those inflatable jump places. Austin got very excited everytime he saw someone go down the big slide. I bet he can't wait until he's big enough to go too.

Uncle Kevin
Austin LOVES his Uncle Kevin (Keith's brother). Anytime he walks in the room Austin's entire face lights up. They play together and watch Curious George, Clifford and Sponge Bob. I took the camcorder over there today so that they could film him laughing with Kevin. I hope to have a good video of it soon.

My poopy weekend
After the "incident"
See how happy he was?
Sunday evening little man and I were hanging out in the living room. We had just got off the phone with Grandma J to wish her a happy birthday and he started to toot. I was excited because he hadn't pooped yet that day. (yes I know.Who would've thought I'd every say that?!) I lifted him up and that's when I saw it. He had managed to shoot poop out of the side of his diaper into my lap. I didn't know what to do so I screamed for Keith. "Ahhhh, Keith get a towel, get a towel...hurrrrryyyy!" He runs in with a little hand towel not really sure what he's about to see. Austin hears me squealling and thinks it's funny. So he starts laughing. Keith had to quickly wipe poop off of me so I could get up and take Austin to the bath. He looked at me as he was wiping off my leg and said "Our relationship will never be the same again" ;) I was so proud of him. He did not throw up. He didn't even gag. I then ran upstairs with my still laughing child covered in poo and washed him off. Ah, parenthood. What a blessing.

Bath time
We LOVE bath time! Every night before his last bottle we give Austin his bath. He gets so excited that he normally pees. Luckily he has not done the other, but I am sure that will come;) His favorite part is when we flip him on his belly and I wash his back. This has become a family ritual. Keith now joins in too. He normally will sit in the back of the tub laughing and he is responsible for drying him off. I have caught Austin making faces at himself in the reflection from that metal thing under the faucet(I still don't know what that is for). I can't wait to be able to introduce toys into the mix! Uncle Denny got us a really cool boat and we have some sea turtles that I know he will just love.

They sure do grow up fast...
I just can't believe how much he has grown already! This picture was taken when he was about a week old. Now he is 11 weeks old and he is more than twice this size! He is a lot more animated now. He laughs all of the time. He loves being outside or anywhere he can look around at things. He now hates his carseat after 10 minutes which makes going anywhere in the car so much fun;) We are still sleeping 6-7 hours at night (with an occasional mishap) and cherish bath time. I am glad he likes the water because in February he will be learning how to survive in the water if he falls in. Keith and I researched it and observed some classes. It is amazing how natural it is for these babies to float in the water. I don't know if any of you have seen the video where the baby falls in the pool and flips himself over and floats until someone comes to get him. We feel that this is wise since we have a pool. They also say that it makes them more confident in the water and makes them better swimmers in the future.

Shots
Austin had his 2 month appointment yesterday. He had to get 4 shots! He was doing great at first and even smiling and laughing at the nurse. Then they started to hurt. He looked at me with that bottom lip out like I had just ruined his world. Lucky for my heart he got over it pretty quick! Unfortunately, he has to go back in December and do it all over again! I may make dad take him to that one. Oh, by the way he is 12lbs3oz, and 23in long.

Yes, I am going to get political for a minute...
I just wanted to remind everyone (especially women) to vote next month. If you are not registered than get registered. Even if you "don't care" or believe it won't make a difference. Even if you hate both candidates. Even if you have "better things to do" VOTE. Vote because it's your right. Vote because you do make a difference. Vote because men and women fought, bled and died so you could. Vote because people in other countries are too afraid to get blown up when they go to vote. Vote to honor your ancestors. Vote to be a role model. Vote because you believe in something and to stand up for those beliefs. I am going to step off my soap box now.
Good Morning!
